A new procedure was proposed at the 2014 SCRS for the ICCAT Software Catalogue based on the Science Strategic Plan for 2015-2020.

The first step was to solicit the views of the rapporteurs and software developers via a questionnaire. This was then summarised for the 2016 SCRS, see https://github.com/ICCAT/software/wiki/1.-Introduction

The catalogue has now been moved to this githib repository see https://github.com/ICCAT/software/wiki since 2017.

The various software packages have also been placed on a github repository, if the source code is available, see VPA2Box for example https://github.com/ICCAT/software/tree/master/packages/vpa2box

The current ICCAT stock assessment software catalogue contains:
2.1 ASPIC, 2.2 mpb, 2.3 VPA2Box, 2.4 FLXSA, 2.5 Stock Synthesis, 2.6 ASAP, 2.7 SAM, 2.8 JABBA, 2.9 SPiCT

This page also contains some useful tools in R 4. Tools:
4.1 kobe, 4.2 diags, 4.3 ss3diags, 4.4 BycatchEstimator, 4.5 FLBEIA , 4.6 openMSE

The two tools "FLBEIA" and "openMSE" have been added in 2024.
