The HEC-FDA software is a tool that is used to combine a series of relationships to ultimately compute a damage-frequency function and integrate the function for an estimate of expected annual damages. This process is repeated in a Monte Carlo where each relationship in the computational sequence is sampled to produce an estimate iteratively until the convergence criteria are met.
The core functionality of this tool is to combine relationships represented by a dependent and an independent variable, where the dependent variable can be expressed with uncertainty, sampled, and then ultimately integrated. This is facilitated by two primary objects: paireddata.PairedData and paireddata.UncertainPairedData.
