Not sure why it shows all the lines as edited in both files, but you can disable "whitespace" in the diff and and see the lines that were actually edited: https://github.com/Hillobar/Rope/pull/34/files?diff=unified&w=1 The whitespace and line ending used are the same as in the original file too, 4 spaces and CRLF... might just be a quirk of Github diff, in VSCode the diff only shows the 4 lines:
