YouTube Tracker/Timer is a simple Firefox extension designed to help you manage your time effectively. Some of its settings include:

Block Mode: Blocks the YouTube homepage once your time limit is reached.

Restrict Mode: Restricts the YouTube homepage by removing thumbnails and content while still allowing searches and video playback once your time limit is reached.

Notifications: Sends notifications when half or a quarter of your time limit has been reached.

Lock settings for set periods of time.

Download it directly from the Firefox Add-ons Store and add it to your browser.
This guide will help you install the uncompiled version of Youtube-Timer into Firefox.
- Firefox Browser: Make sure you have Firefox installed on your system. You can download it from here.
- Youtube-Timer Source Code: Clone or download the source code from this repository.

Clone or Download the Repository:
- Clone the repository using:
git clone https://github.com/Youtube-Timer/youtube-timer.git
- Or download the repository as a ZIP file and extract it.
- Clone the repository using:

Open Firefox Developer Tools:
- Open Firefox and type
about:debuggingin the address bar. - Click on "This Firefox" on the left-hand sidebar.
- Open Firefox and type

Load the Extension:
- Click the "Load Temporary Add-on" button.
- Navigate to the folder where you cloned or extracted the extension.
- Select any file inside the directory with the
.manifest.jsonextension.

Test the Extension:
- Once loaded, the Youtube-Timer extension should now appear in your Firefox toolbar.
- You can start using it to track the time you spend watching YouTube.
- Temporary Installation: This method only temporarily installs the extension. It will be removed when you restart Firefox.
