Finbridge helps ethnic communities, immigrants, bilingual students, and anyone new to the U.S. build real financial literacy and sets up users for long-term success.

• Translate key terms and documents so “bank-speak” becomes everyday language
• Learn bite-size finance basics (credit, HYSA, Roth IRA, fees, APR, etc.)
• Inline Document Translator Upload documents for instant translation and summarization.
• Plaid Integration: Connecting bank accounts for live insights.
• AI Assistance: Context-aware explanation using Google Gemini to assist users further.

Getting Started

To run this project locally:

1. Clone the repo

   git clone https://github.com/GridGxly/FinBridgeV2.git
   cd FinBridgeV2

2. Install dependencies

   npm install
   cd backend && npm install

3. Run development server

   # From root
   npm run dev
   
   # From backend (in separate terminal)
   npm start
