NVPI-R/
NVIDIA profiles for Profile Inspector Revamped. The base profile affects all games, Hunt-Showdown.nip is game-specific. Mostly focused on reducing input lag and dialing in DLSS/sharpening.
- Grab NVIDIA Profile Inspector Revamped
- Import the .nip files
- Restart for changes to apply
Base profile affects all games.
Legacy sharpening is cleaner than NIS. Less haloing on high contrast edges, works at native resolution without forcing GPU scaling, and doesn't oversharpen dark areas. NIS was designed for upscaling - using it just for sharpening at native res adds artifacts some people don't like.
Guide
Legacy-Sharpen.reg - Enables old sharpening
NIS-Sharpen.reg - Re-enables NIS
Double-click to apply, restart PC.
- Open Registry Editor
- Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\nvlddmkm\Parameters\FTS - Set
EnableGR535to0for legacy,1for NIS - Restart
Driver updates reset this to NIS.
