Assembly Module 1
The assembly instructions below describe how to assemble Module 1.
You need these tools for assembling Module 1:
- a piece of cardboard
- plastic card
- stencil for Module 1
- SMD tweezers
- reflow soldering oven
- power supply (6V)
- soldering iron
- wire cutter
Apart from the material given in the Bill of Material for Module 1, you need this additional material for assembling Module 1:
- circuit board cleaner
- soldering paste
- adhesive tape
- solder

Clean the Module 1 circuit board |

Fix the Module 1 circuit board e.g. on a piece of cardboard and attach the Module 1 stencil to the cardboard using adhesive tape. |

Spread soldering paste accross the Module 1 stencil |

Carefully lift the stencil from the Module 1 circuit board. Check whether the soldering paste was properly applied to the soldering pads. |

Use tweezers to place SMD resistors R1 and R2 on Module 1. |

Place the SMD LEDs D1 - D4 on Module 1. Make sure that the polarity of the LED is correct! Carefully check the location of all SMD components. |

Solder Module 1 in a reflow soldering oven. |

Test the circuit board functionality using a 6V power supply. |

Turn Module 1 upside down and solder the pin headers CONN1 and CONN2 on the circuit board. Shorten the pin headers at the circuit board bottom with a wire cutter. |
