This alpha release introduces a lot of balance changes, descriptions, basic jobs and removes the western and eastern clusters. The full change log is included below.

!! Not backwards-compatible due to major map changes !!
When updating from an older version, it is advised to clear the systems listed in altera_update_prep.txt manually or with the help of the mission/event chain included in the file. If the mission/event chain was used, please remove all traces of it from your savegame, manually.

Change Log:

  • Removed the Ascaran and Aldnoah Sectors (western and eastern cluster respectively) as they lack basically all content and will see significant changes in the future.
  • Reworked the Draconic Reactors, power generation now scales with ship heat (improved gen at high heat), making them relatively weak on cold ships but formidable in high heat builds.
  • Wrote 3 more planet descriptions, completing the systems in the Alteran Sector (central part of the Alteran Cluster). The lanets in question are Orario, Meldinium and Caelum which sit at the northern Alteran border.
  • Rewrote a bunch of outfit descriptions, writing new ones where necessary.
  • Updated/fixed Ship and outfit prices.
  • Added basic jobs in Alteran space (modified copy of human jobs).
  • Added AACX-II and adjusted AACX-I Cooling System.
  • Added burn resistance to and reduced cooling for Alteran shields.
  • Adjusted batteries, now in-line with vanilla changes.
  • Adjusted drone weapons, heavy plasma and AM turrets.
  • Buffed scanners and solar collectors.
  • Modified stock loudouts for many ships/variants, most warships now have spare capacity (will change in the future).
  • Changed formatting and commented outfit files.
  • Minor bug-fixes.

This is the first "release" for Altera and only exists because the next release will feature incompatible changes.
