Generators
At present, there are three principal ways of generating mechanical power: manual power, waterwheels, and windsails (windmills).
This is the simplest way of generating power. Craft a Manual Crank and place it next to an input side of a machine. You will see it rotate to connect. Right-clicking it will turn it, which supplies 5 MU to the connected machine. This means that 4 turns of the crank are equal to 1 second of a waterwheel working.
A turbine is the base block that turns torque provided by various attachments into MU for your machines. At present, there are two attachments available: a waterwheel and a windsail.
A waterwheel is a reliable source of power that requires flowing water. However, the water must be flowing from the right-hand side (when facing the waterwheel) to generate clockwise torque. The waterwheel supplies 1 MU per tick of being in flowing water via the Turbine.
A windsail (windmill sail) is an alternative source of power that requires elevation. The windsail generates 1 MU per tick at Y = 80, and 2 MU per tick at Y = 110. However, it generates power fractionally, so at Y = 95 it will generate 1.5 MU per tick, meaning it will supply 1 MU the first tick and 2 MU the next.
Additionally, the windsail will generate 15% more power during rain and another 15% more during a thunderstorm.
