Welcome to the Gunbird wiki!
Gunbird is a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up game developed and published by Psikyo and originally released for Japanese arcade machines in 1994.

Captures in-game
The game features a cast of five characters in scrolling levels with a variety of enemies that shoot bullets at the character. The player has to advance and complete the different levels using regular projectiles and unique bombs as they evade the enemies' attacks. When killing enemies (and also upon dying), bombs and powerups may drop. Taking these powerups improves the character's shooting in different ways (depending on the chosen character), for example by increasing the fire rate or the spread of the bullets.
