TPG-V3
Release Title:
v3.2.3-beta – First Public Release
Tag:
v3.2.3-beta
Description:
This marks the first public release of the TPG Service Suite that is fully functional and reasonably stable.
Notes:
- Previous versions (v1.x and v2.x) were experimental and not fully stable. Many features were incomplete or prone to errors. This release is the first at least usable version.
- This is a local, offline web-based application. There are no servers involved, and all services run entirely on your machine.
- The application currently supports Windows only. macOS and Linux are not supported because of differences in OS-level operations and binaries. Contributions to extend support are welcome, but must maintain 100% portability.
- New features can be added to the feature suite, but removing existing functionality is not allowed. This ensures backward compatibility and preserves core operations.
- Uses bin/ folder as the source for all required executables. Avoid adding extra folders or large files, as it may create issues for portability.
- Users should expect some rough edges and limitations in usability. This release prioritizes functionality over polish.
Changelog:
- Full video downloader (mp4 & mp3) with batch support
- Local video compressor with HDR preservation and smart encoding
- Portable, zero-server offline operation
- Basic UI with sidebar navigation for multiple applications
- CRF and hardware accelerated encoding support
Known Issues:
- Limited OS support (Windows only)
- Some encoding options may fail on unsupported GPUs
- Batch file handling and folder selection have minor quirks
- UI is functional but not fully polished
Truthful note: This is a beta, but unlike previous versions, it actually works. There will be minor rough edges, but you won’t have to struggle with non-functional features like before. GLP-3.0 license applies.
This release is labeled beta because while it is the first usable version, it is not perfect. Feedback and contributions are welcome under the GLP-3.0 license.
