The first monthly payment can be accepted via bitcoin transfer or cash payment, the latter of which will be logged and added to the safe. You can keep track of cash payments on a paper spreadsheet if there is one in the safe, or via card in the AO. Failing those things, leave a note in the safe.

As DCTRL is a cryptocurrency focused space all members are strongly encouraged to make membership payments in bitcoin.

After the first months membership dues are collected a FOB will be issued to the new member, FOBS can be found in the main locker. Test the FOB to make sure it works.

New members should be made aware of the deadbolt, as deadbolt keys will only be issued if absolutely necessary (early morning co-working, running events) and at least three voting members agree to issue one. All members with deadbolt keys should be accounted for in the AO and on a list kept in the safe.

New members will be invited to join the Keybase and the Github Organization, and are encouraged to participate.

An introduction to the AO should be set up, if not immediately then within the first week of membership.

New members should be given a walkthrough of the space, including safety precautions, rules and off-limit areas. Respect for our equipment, property and other members should be stressed.

New members should be directed to this Wiki and must read through all DCTRL rules and guidelines at their earliest convenience, as the wiki includes rules for members as well as instructions on how to run a meet-up or using the AO.

Referring to this wiki should be the first step for any member who has a question about commons issue before asking someone else.
