This is version 0.1.2, released 03/04/2016

The Data Conservancy Package Ingest accepts packages that conform to the Data Conservancy Packaging Specification, version 1, and imports their contents into a Fedora repository.

Requirements

• Java 8 JRE
• Apache Karaf 4.0.x (tested with 4.0.4)
• Fedora 4 Repository 4.5.x (tested with 4.5.0)
  • (We recommend using Jetty 9x as the servlet container for Fedora, but any compliant servlet container should work.)

Change Log

• Fixed testing issue on Mac platforms where packages were not being moved into the fail directory. This fix only affects test code, was not a production code issue
• Fixed JAXB related errors with the Karaf console that prevented certain console commands from working
• Improved the ability of the logger notifier to be replaced by the email notifier

The Package Ingest is distributed as a Karaf kar file, which can be dropped into the Karaf $KARAF_HOME/deploy directory.

Full installation instructions can be found here. We recommend using the kar file for deployment, and using the Karaf web console for configuration.

Known Issues

• On MacOS, under certain conditions, package files may not be properly written to the configured failure directory when an ingest fails.
