I made a patch for compatibility with kRPC for my own use. I figured that you might want to take a look and maybe consider adopting the feature. The dll I included is built against KSP 1.4.5, but the code should also work on your currently supported 1.3. I am not an experienced coder, so feel free to make any of the likely numerous improvements that could be made.
