This submission cleans up the chat client refactoring by correcting the .gitignore file, reverting package-lock.json, and removing dead code. It also configures the development environment for local testing.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 12710274301621355027

This commit addresses several issues identified during a review of the chat client refactoring.

- The `.gitignore` file has been corrected to properly ignore log files and generated CSS.
- The `package-lock.json` file has been reverted to its original state to avoid unintended dependency changes.
- Dead code and lingering references to a deleted report-parsing feature have been removed.
- The development environment has been configured to properly load API keys for local testing.
