Metroid Advance Game Editor Themes
Metroid Advance Game Editor (MAGE) is a comprehensive hacking utility for Metroid Fusion and Metroid Zero Mission originally created by biosp4rk. It is a .NET 3.0 application written in C#.
MAGE Themes is a modification of the original MAGE 1.4 source code started by ConConner, introducing several bug fixes, quality of life improvements and entirely new features. It is a .NET 10.0 application.
Currently both versions are only compatible with the North American (U) version of each game.
MAGE (the original) is no longer being worked on. Issues should only be directed at MAGE Themes.
Releases are created automatically when new features are available on the main branch.
To launch MAGE Themes you need to install the .NET Runtime version 10 or higher.
Over the years, several large scale ROM-Hacks have been released that were created with MAGE.
Metroid: Scrolls 6 is an overhauled, open-ended hack of Metroid Zero Mission, featuring full graphical changes, an original soundtrack, and seven explorable areas. It includes unique content not typically found in other hacks.
This Metroid Zero Mission hack features an expansive, interconnected world with custom graphics, music, and boss encounters. It offers varied level design, challenging puzzles, and numerous secrets to discover, providing a significant amount of content beyond the original game.
This Metroid Zero Mission hack boasts a massive, visually stunning world that blends diverse graphical assets. It features new upgrades, multiple endings, and a unique "True Ending" mode that drastically alters the progression path and item locations for subsequent playthroughs, offering significant replayability.
To build MAGE Themes from source, open a CLI in your repository root and run:
