Summary

Adds a proper title, overview section, and features list to the README to make the project more accessible to new users. The existing deployment documentation remains unchanged.

Changes:

  • Added "Spring Boot Bank Application" as the main title
  • Added Overview section explaining the project purpose
  • Added Features list highlighting key capabilities
  • Reorganized Screenshots into its own section
  • Changed "Tech stack used in this project:" to "Tech Stack" for cleaner formatting

Review & Testing Checklist for Human

  • Verify the features listed (user registration, account management, transaction processing, secure session handling, RESTful API endpoints) accurately reflect what the application actually implements - I inferred these from the project name and screenshots
  • Confirm the overview description aligns with the project's actual purpose

Notes

This is a documentation-only change with no functional impact to the codebase. The extensive DevSecOps deployment instructions that follow remain unchanged.
