  • Task 2: Correct and implement VERDI's ability to work with Shapefiles
    • Task 2.1: Completed “vector sampling increment” for vectors on Fast Tile Plot so user can specify every 3rd vector, every 10th vector, etc. to display on the Fast Tile Plot
    • [x ] Task 2.2: Drop the old BIN format along with the shape2bin utility distributed with VERDI (Jo Ellen, June 2015)
    • Task 2.3: Correct how the Net CDF-Java library performs some conversions among projections
    • Task 2.4: Correct the Areal Interpolation Plot's "save" that exports the tile plot and values instead of the polygonal values and Shapefile - [ ] Task 2.5: Replace binary map files with similar Shapefiles
    • Task 2.5.1 began: new feature for user-configuration of Shapefiles: located utility within GeoTools that should be able to form the basis for this capability (Jo Ellen, June 2015)
    • Task 2.5.2 on-going: working to enable Shapefiles in VERDI; investigating container options that will handle the geospatial requirements and provide built-in Shapefile support with an overlaid gridded raster file, X- and Y-axes, axis labels, titles, and footers (Jo Ellen, June 2015)
    • [x] Task 2.5.3 activated support for user-provided Shapefiles (Jo Ellen, June 2015)

    • [x] Task 2.5.4 located sample code related to clipping between raster and vector coverages (Jo Ellen, June 2015)

    • Task 2.6: Include the ability for user-configuration of Shapefiles
    • Task 2.7: VERDI will be expanded to include a limited number of additional projections per discussions with the WACO
  • Task 3: Improve VERDI's configure plot capabilities
    • Task 3.1: Connect each plot type to the new configuration panel to allow the user to configure titles, labels, and colors appropriate for each plot type
    • Task 3.2: Expand configuration options to include formatting axis labels
    • [x ] Task 3.3: Create a new default color palette for the Fast Tile Plot (Jo Ellen - June 2015)
    • Task 3.4: Improve the manner in which plot type buttons are enabled/disabled based on types of loaded datasets
    • Task 3.5: Add a user-configurable time delay factor when animating the 3D Contour Plot similar to that used in the Fast Tile Plot
    • Task 3.6: Eliminate these bugs and add the ability to save contour plot animations back into VERDI
    • Task 3.7: Fix a persistent bug in the VERDI code where if a legend is turned off, and a plot configuration is changed in any way, the legend turns back on
  • Task 4: Add the ability to sum values through a vertical column
  • Task 5: Add the capability to VERDI to read BCON (boundary condition) files for the CMAQ model
  • Task 6: Add the ability to export a graphic product from VERDI as a jpg file by right-clicking on the graphic
  • Task 7: Release VERDI, its installation package, and documentation on the CMAS web site
