Thanks. I'm afraid it's not that simple. 🙈

  • The recipe should go into the basement-gnu-linux repository. The basement project contain just toolchains, build systems and the sandbox.
  • Please add the version number to the commit message
  • I'd like to avoid pip as much as possible. It is supported for convenience and to get a project jump started. But for long term maintenance its a nightmare. Instead, all python packages should be properly built with their dependencies.

I hope the last point is feasible and the dependency tree is not too deep. Take a look at the other python recipes in basement-gnu-linux. Let me know if this doesn't work for you...

Thanks for your comments, it seems I had some misconceptions about the purpose of the basement vs basement-gnu-linux layers. Closing this pull request, will submit another one against basement-gnu-linux.
