Automatic tasks to set up development environment

Hmmm... Pretty cool. I think there's two pretty separate features here?

1. auto-set up terminals. I lean towards thinking this should be something that different devs would have different feelings about?
2. auto run stuff just from folder opening. Here too, I'm not clear if this is too automated for my tastes?

I wonder what you would think about a weaker version of 2, which does some detection and then tells you "It looks like this project isn't fully set up. Type ./init.sh (or whatever) to set it up.
