Blasphemer 0.1.8
General premise
After a long silence, Blasphemer is back with some new amazing spriteworks and some general fixes, more on that below.
A bit of a spoiler: Rei is the de-facto protagonist of this release with their amazing spriteworks.
As always, a sincere thank you to all contributors who keep the project alive in a time very different from when it all started.
Special thanks go to Catoptromancy, for his continual efforts and bugfixes.
Levels
- Fixed medusa on E1M1.
- Removed incorrect player 1 start on E1M6.
- E3M2 reworked by the author.
Sprites
- Added Ghoul (Mummy) by Rei, replacing BigProjectAlone's deer demon.
- Added Harpy (Imp) by Rei, replacing Cwolf's lost soul.
- Added Ogre (Maulotaurus) by Rei.
- Added Morphed Eye (Chicken) by Rei.
- Added Unknown (Lich) by Oplexitie, replacing Freedoom's cacodemon.
Textures
- Added archways variations by Kwc
General Changes
- Added optional GL definitions by Jackie. Note: They are not included in the main build, you may find them on the repo page.
- Lot of offset fixes.
- AutoPage darkened.
- Added a script to generate the versioning on the titlepic.

Blasphemer 0.1.7
General premise
With an additional episode included and all basic sprites filled in, this release is officially SP (single player) ready and DM (death match) ready, so unless more fixes come in, we are steadily proceeding towards a 0.2.0 release.
This release is equivalent to the pull request #24.
Special thanks go to Catoptromancy, without him this release could not have happened as fast as it did.
Levels
New maps were added, making e3 completely functional, and e1 complete, for a total of 27 single player maps.

- Added DM compatibility to every map. DM is still not recommended on base game.
- Fixed Lift issues on e1m5, e1m7, e2m1.
- Fixed medusa effects on e1m6 and e1m8.
- Normal exit in e1m6 replaced with secret exit to preserve continuity of play.

Lumps
- HorrorMovieGuy's face* lumps are now correctly in.

- Added three new demos to replace the old desync ones.
- Added new Titlepic with version and year.
- Minor transparency fix to remove most ":)" from UI.
- Added "pause" graphics.
Sounds
- Modified imppai to be shorter.
Textures
- Fixed ugly seams between sky textures.
General changes
Makefile Updated to be similar in function to the FreeDoom one.
- New commands available: Clean, Install, Uninstall.
- Make will also build the DeathMatch iwad automatically.
Updated CONTRIBUTING, COPYING, CREDITS, wadinfo, BlasphDM.
Added readme lump to promote project. This lump will be displayed on the help menu.
Someone may stll missing from the credit list. If you find that someone has been incorrectly credited or not credited at all, please contact us.
Blasphemer 0.1.6
General
This is a late amendment to a prior release that happened in date 23 november 2020.
As this is a succint version, you can find the complete list on pull request #21.
Levels
Several levels were added:
- 21 brand new deathmatch were added and are now in a different maplist called BlasphDM. This new Wad can be compiled using the txt file BlasphDM.txt as a substitute for wadinfo.txt.
- 16 new single player levels are now included, organized in two sets of 8 maps each.
Graphics
- A brand new Player sprite was added (Chicken form still missing).
- A massive amount of new monsters sprites were added, including: Mummy, Sableclaw, Waredragon, Knight, Lich, Ophidian.
- New weapons sprites were added, including: Wand, Staff, Gauntlet, Phoenix rod, Firemace.
- Several sfx sprites were filled in, new torch Sprite and Gasbags are now fully functionals.
- New playpal, colormap and tinttab were provided.
Sounds
- 48 new sounds were filled in.
Old Blasphemer versions.
Notice
This is a retroactive release of every version of Blasphemer we could find before it was moved to Github.
It include a separate pwad for the texture pack.
