In Scotland it gets cold. At startup in Winter, the temps were reading 3-4 degrees, so triggering a sensor missing fault. Until warmed up with a hairdryer ! I'm not sure if zero, or negative value is acceptable so I've changed MINTEMP from 5 to 1. If zero is OK then I'd go for that.

maybe you should check for yourself, if a disconnected thermistor still gets detected reliably with this setting. |

Once I’ve worked out what I need to do to build the modified firmware, I’ll check.
At 25C the resistance would be 100k
At 0C it would be ~300k
A disconnected thermistor should be >1m which would be lower than –25C
So it depends, if the software handles lower values.

maybe you should check for yourself, if a disconnected thermistor still gets detected reliably with this setting.
