Arcix OS exists to amplify human potential. Its mission is to provide a unified platform where technology serves the user, not the other way around.
It is designed for:
- Students and educators: offline-ready tools, classroom management, and learning resources.
- Creators and professionals: consistent productivity and creative workflows across devices.
- Developers and contributors: a flexible platform for experimentation, app development, and device support.
Arcix’s vision is to eliminate barriers between mobile and desktop devices, giving everyone access to powerful, flexible technology.
Arcix OS is structured in three main layers:
- Provides core Android functionality and app compatibility.
- Supports FOSS app stores (F-Droid, Aurora) and optionally the Play Store.
- Manages mobile drivers, touchscreen input, and core system services.
- Android-x86 enables the OS to run on PC hardware.
- A Linux-based kernel extends hardware support for desktops and laptops.
- Desktop Mode adapts the UI to larger screens, supporting multi-window workflows and desktop-style productivity.
- Runs native Linux applications through containerization (proot/chroot).
- Integrates seamlessly with desktop mode, allowing Linux software to coexist with Android apps.
Additional components:
- Arcix Mind: AI assistant for task management, scheduling, and recommendations.
- Arcix Flow Engine: dynamically prioritizes resources for the apps and workflows you use most.
- Arcix Safe: encrypted storage and per-app privacy controls.
