Summary of Changes

Hello @Rive-001, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request improves the resilience of feature name retrieval during data loading by implementing a secondary fallback option. It ensures that the application can successfully identify and load features even when the expected 'var/_index' key is missing, by attempting to use 'var/feature' as an alternative. This change makes the data processing more robust against variations in HDF5 file structures.

Highlights

  • Feature Name Fallback: Introduced a new fallback mechanism for retrieving feature names. If the primary key 'var/_index' is not found within the HDF5 file, the system will now attempt to use 'var/feature' as an alternative.
  • Error Handling Improvement: Enhanced error handling within the _decode function to gracefully manage KeyError exceptions when accessing feature indices, providing a more robust data loading process.

Code Review

This pull request adds a fallback mechanism to use var/feature for retrieving feature names if var/_index is not available. The logic is sound, but there's an indentation issue in the new code block that should be corrected for better readability and to adhere to Python's style conventions.
