Expert or Liar is a trivia game app inspired by the “Regular Show” episode “Expert or Liar.” The app, developed using .NET MAUI, allows users to test their knowledge in various categories. Users answer a series of questions and are labeled as an “expert” or a “liar” based on their score. The app integrates with Firebase Realtime Database for storing and retrieving questions and user data.
To test the app, download the app-debug.apk file from the release folder in this GitHub repository and transfer it to your android device. Use the following test credentials to log in:
- ExolAndroid: Open the Exol.zip file and locate the ExolAndroid folder. Inside, you’ll find an APK file named “com.companyname.exol.apk”. Transfer this file to your phone using WhatsApp or USB, then click on the file to install it. If a security message appears, select “install anyway”.
- ExolWindows: In the Exol.zip file, find the “Exol_0.0.3.0_x64_Test” folder in the ExolWindows folder. Inside, you’ll see an MSIX package and a certificate. Double click on the certificate and install it to “Trusted Root Certification Authorities”. Then, click on the MSIX package to install the app.
Please note, the app hasn’t been tested on MacBook or iPhone. If you encounter difficulties, feel free to reach out for assistance. For any queries, feel free to reach out to me at k00290602@student.tus.ie.
