I saw that renv 1.1.7 is out fixing the but where it always said an update was needed, so I am updating this repo

this updated record looked surprisingly thin to me so I ran renv::upgrade() myself and got the same thing... so I guess it's fine!

You were correct to note that there is a minimal annotation when you run renv::upgrade(). Running renv::snapshot afterward did fix it, though in my case it also changed a number of Repository settings, so now the changes are more extensive. The changes are almost all from "https://packagemanager.posit.co/cran/latest" to "CRAN", which seems appropriate to me. In some cases an "Encoding" was also added.
