This is how I set up a new computer/manage my current computer.
I generally keep this up to date. After an initial assessment, if I trial or adopt something it usually will be added here.
I try to avoid reinventing the wheel and instead like to find best-in-breed resources, so this setup is heavily built on other tried-and-true setups, configurations, and conventions. I try to maximize the value-per-line while keeping things as minimal as possible.
These steps set up a brand new mac out of the box.
