This is the newly designed App Regulator which uses a simple command to perform the blocking of an App.

FEATURES

1. Add or remove multiple targets (applications) to block
2. Select those targets using a dedicated dialog box or manually add the target by inputting the application name
3. Offers you two types of app blocks:
- Indefinite Block: Blocks any app indefinitely without stopping for a single second
- Timed Block: Allows two types of timed block where it either blocks an app for a single moment & stops or blocks an app once every given minute
5. Offers you a special "Force Block" for applications that resist simple blocking methods
6. Automatically loads last saved file ensuring you never lose your profile
7. Asks you to save the file before exiting ensuring the safety of your profile

SPECIAL FEATURE

1. Admin Access: The app can gain higher authorities if granted by the user to perform a type of block which no application can ignore
2. Camouflage: It allows the user to pretend as the application they choose to ask for administrator access essentially opening that app but gaining higher authorities in the background. It opens the app you choose but it opens itself in an invisible manner and can be shown by using a hidden technique mentioned in the application itself.
3. Scan Apps: It scans for all known executables in the system ignoring the system applications for safety and listing the ones that we use on a daily manner

ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS

1. Since the app allows for custom target selection, users can give the name of an app related to the system leading to its crash. Apps like "Explorer" are vulnerable to this type of blocking. Users are advised not to do it and use the app properly. While some system apps cannot be blocked even with higher authorities, it is advised not to try such behavior unless you're an expert.
2. The camouflage technique is a unique technique which, if falls into the wrong hands, can cause serious issues. Since it allows itself to disguise as another app to ask for admin access, it could be harmful in topologies where multiple computers are connected & controlled by the administrator like: Star Topology. If granted admin in such situation, the app is extremely powerful & can cause the blocking of apps throughout the entire topology. Hence, using this technique falls under your own responsibility.
