One major gap between existing Go libraries and more established sound processing APIs is the availability of meters and controllers. Apple calls these "parameters", for example.

These things are prime candidates for nice treatment with Go's concurrency.

I would like to propose that design proposals for this space take the form of branches of the basically empty repository rather than pull requests.

How would you like to see metering and controlling for sound work in Go?

I haven't used "parameters" in Apple or anything similar, so can't provide too much feedback at this time. My best guess is that you should check with @mattetti for this. Matt, feel yourself invited to join the discussion :)
