it would be great to have a portal to teleport to an area in which all players are in "creative-mode" so they can build. Once leaving this defined area all their inventory will be cleared and they can play survival again.

There is the mod "Privileges Area" that would give the players any privelege you want to give them.

[english version below] @Surfer2010: Evtl. ein guter Anwendungsfall fuer eine verfeinerte "privilegeareas"-Funktionalitaet. Meines Erachtens waere aber zu ueberlegen, ob es so fair ist, beim Verlassen das Inventar ganz zu leeren. Besser waere vielleicht, das Inventar beim Betreten zu sichern, und beim Verlassen dieses wiederherzustellen.

@BiLachner: Yes, but "privilegeareas" alone currently wouldn't solve the problem of a player entering an area that gives the "creative" privilege, acquiring powerful/rare items there, and taking them out into the "non-creative" area of the world. Plus, many players expect a larger digging range and being able to dig harder materials in creative mode. This is currently not accessible through privileges, but can be changed through the "/basic_hand" and "/creative_hand" chat commands in edutest-chatcommands. "privilegeareas" would probably benefit much from allowing a wider range of actions to be triggered by entering/leaving an area, not just granting/revoking privileges. original message follows:
