Customizable default sorting of navigation

Description

For automatically constructed navigation, we might allow for custom sorting comparators, so users do not need to provide navigation explicitly, either selectively in sections or globally. We could also provide some sensible default options, including for languages like Chinese, Japanese and Korean (CJK).
