Trying to open Meld preferences on MacOS Sonoma causes a bus error

I installed Meld on MacOS Sonoma 14.5. When I open two files to compare, the display shows up fine. However, when I access any of the menu items, it crashes, with a few different messages:

1. "Meld -> Settings" causes a "Bus error: 10", and this pops up:

2. "Edit -> Replace" causes a "Segmentation fault: 11", and the same popup appears.

I'm using Meld version 3.21.0.osx3.

I still have this problem. Any hopes for a fix? I'm running Meld on Sonoma 14.6.1

Reproducing same issue on Mac15,12 on 14.7 (23H124) (mostly fresh install) having the same issues crashing when attenpting to bring up settings window. Here's my info

 ~ brew info meld
==> meld: 3.21.0-r3,19

furthermore I tried forcing rosetta 2 on it, and it opened fine. Then when it crashed at the settings I got the segfault we all knew was there (tl;dr; rosetta2 is installed):

 ~ arch -x86_64 meld
