Could one use Markdown formatting for summary?

Thanks again for this package.

I have just used "Click to see the <code>deals</code> nested list" as a value for summary. Would it be possible to render the summary so that one could write

"Click to see the `deals` nested list"? 

I actually assume one couldn't because I see html in summary can be useful to manipulate title style but thought I'd ask.

In an rmd with a details chunk and an html_document the back ticks are rendered as <code>...</code>, but in md_document they stay as back ticks.

Given that I think it may be strict html blocks in md outputs if you want to use it in GH pages
