Explanation of STHD guided binning

Hi,

Could you please explain what is the output of STHD guided binning? Does 4x4 guided binning mean it reassign the 2um bins into cells, which is based on 4um blocks of data? 

Also what does the output look like, if I don't re-bin my data? What is the final output of the data in that case?
