Currently, if you want to view the backup from an external drive, you will need to go to Settings and change the backup target to the folder in the external drive and only then you will be able to view the content of the backup (then remember to change it back to the local folder).
This is messy.
It would be better to be able to select from which folder you want to view the backup, ideally the external drive will be auto-detected and be available to view without needing to manually find it.
