v0.6: Challenging PN532 Initialization

The 0.55 (or was it 0.56?) of SpoolEase Scale firmware did not work (red light, no connection to SpoolEase). I had to completely reinstall the firmware (v0.60), the update did not work.

But with v0.60 SpoolEase and SpoolEase Scale have a "Challenging PN532 Initialization" error = both devices rendered useless.

SpoolEase sticks with "Challenging PN532 Initialization" until it finally fails.

I assume it's a v0.60 bug as both devices have been working fine with 0.53 I think (last version that was out there for long time). The recent updates (0.55) made it stopp working (at least for the scale).

I did change (I thought for the better) the PN532 initialization.

Most of your log is not
Calibrated scale, did you calibrate it by now?

Can you upload again the initialization logs without the no calibration logs?

You also have in the log:

[scale_button.rs:30] Long button press

It means the button (left button if you have two) on the scale is constantly pressed (unless you pressed it long at the time of the log).

Maybe the button needs to be sanded a bit, but it also will make the scale emulate a link to config rather than scan tags (regardless of the error you reported).

Hi, as discussed on discord:

• scale calibrated now
• long button pressed caused by using left bottom USB connector. No issue with the upper left USB connector or powering through 5Vin / GND PINs.
• 0.6.1 b.1 / b.2 firmwares solve the problem with NFC / PN532
