Distorted voice recordings in parallel communication tools #34
Description
Conclusion: When using other communication tools like Discord in parallel to xPilot, the recorded voice is very distorted from time to time.
Expected behavior: Other communication tools like Discord can be used in parallel to xPlane for multicrew flights, without any interference with xPilot.
Observed behavior: The voice recording of other communication tools like Discord is very distorted from time to time when running xPlane in parallel. Recorded voice can be clear for hours but might also be totally unreadable for the same amount of time. Recorded voice quality sometimes fluctuates within seconds.
Additional information:
- It seems when system load increases by running X-Plane, the propability of facing distorted voice recordings increases.
- It sometime sounds like a buffer underrun. Increasing the buffer size in https://github.com/xpilot-project/Pilot-Client/blob/master/Libraries/GeoVR/GeoVR.Client/Audio/Output.cs#L24 COULD already solve the issue.
