Description
The difference feature is wonderful, but if we try to find differences in two spectra of very similar objects, we usually face the problem of different signal intensity.
For example, the spectra could be really similar, but their mean intensities differ 1.4 times. It would be great to have a feature that will allow us to normalize one spectrum to another one, e.g. by calculating its mean value.
User interface
Proposal one
We make this feature working automatically, i.e. as soon as user tries to find difference, the first spectrum gets normalized to the second one. If this is not desired, then we press a special key (F6?) and program ask us we we would like to deactivate this feature.
Proposal two
We calculate correlation between spectra, and if it is really high, then we perform normalization automatically.
