Ability to record Raw Audio

The audio recorded is currently only the decoded audio. It may not be possible but it would be really helpful to be able to instead record encrypted audio in it's raw form for later analysis.

If you don't have a network key, you'll have encrypted audio playing that you can record.

Yes, thanks. I do realise that is possible but you cannot process that recorded audio later on (e.g. through another tool like DSD-FME). If you subsequently acquire the key then you cannot retrospectively apply it to the encrypted audio. If I detect an encrypted signal I would like to process it at a later stage to verify if I have the key. Unfortunately, if the encrypted voice is already decoded before it is recorded then this is not possible.

So I guess I am looking for the ability to record something like a narrowband .IQ file (as can be produced by PC tools including DSDPlus FL, DSD-FME and SDRSharp) which would contain the raw undecoded audio of the received signal. (This would save me carrying around my HackRF Portapack or another Pi-based SDR receiver just for this purpose.)

Failing this, the modified firmware must have access to things like the MI when decrypting the data so an alternative solution might be store a log file that contains the relevant information for later analysis. Possibly there is something in Discovery Mode logging that could assist here?

Debug logs contain all the necessary information in the form of raw data packets and even voice data packets.

Making IQ records is too CPU costly, hardly feasible.

OK, that information is much appreciated. I hadn't spotted that feature and it looks pretty cool so I will check it out.

I guess I meant more of a .bin file rather than a .IQ file and this looks great as the voice frames are also captured. It would be excellent if there was a facility to regenerate the audio retrospectively from these files if the key becomes available at a later stage. I guess such a thing might exist but is it available?

Failing that I guess I could code something myself to generate a .amb/.imb file and replay it via DSD-FME...
