Distance-along-route algorithm

We should implement an algorithm that, given a bus’s current latitude-longitude coordinate, calculates the distance (in meters) along the bus’s assigned route’s poly-line that the bus has traveled from the first point in the route’s poly-line definition. The result should be returned as a property of a bus object in response to relevant HTTP requests.
