Device lags when GPS is active

Tested using the GPS status app (com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2).
When the app starts, it becomes very slow and compass rotation is similarly slow.

this is also observed on my Nexus 4. running MoDaCo's CM10.1 r1.

tested with gps status with cold gps boot. after doing a pdroid restore, the gps was able to get a fix within 3 seconds.

This is fixed in the latest development branches, and will be included in the next release.
