Source of the thunk code

This seem to use thunking to enable some of the functionality. I am assuming this is only going to work on 32-bit and a different thunking code (if even possible?) would be needed to run on 64-bit? If so , how was that derived?

There is build.bat in lib/sshzlib and lib/codegen project which extracts the thunk to string.

x64 is possible as the thunk source is not in ASM but in C but will need testing and I'm not that familiar with x64 ASM (at all) calling conventions and everything else that needs to match.

​First, I'd like to apologize for creating a new issue, "cZipArchive to cGZip," which might be unrelated to this repository. Did you perhaps delete that issue? I'm asking because I've searched for it but can't seem to find it.
​I have adapted cZipArchive into cGZip to compress/decompress .gz files. Specifically, with this cGZip, I have successfully been able to compress and decompress .gz files. However, when I compared the compression results from my cGZip with the latest zlibwapi.dll, and also performed a manual compression using 7-Zip, I noticed a significant difference in the compressed file sizes.

​Latest zlibwapi: 6 MB
​7-Zip: 5 MB

​Is it possible that this compression issue is because the string thunk originates from an outdated sshzlib?

To answer your question - no, there is no compression issue, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to decompress anything.

Sorry but I won’t be able to help you with your project just notice that ZIP archives have level of compression i.e. higher level of compression produce tighter/smaller archives so that you can reflect which compression level your gzip class is using with the thunks.

I’ll ask you to not furthur post in this thread. This is not a la carte restaurant. Post only useful things for repo’s author (me) or repo’s users, not about your dev troubles in general or I’ll have to take admin actions. . . again.

@cyberzilla Btw, there are built-in API functions for gzip/gunzip in Windows 10 which you can use instead of these thunks.

Another problem with deflate impl with these thunks is that it does not do dynamic huffman trees i.e. it always uses static ones so the compression ratio suffers in most of the cases.
