FreeTrain revival?

I oversaw the sort-of revival of FreeTrain a few years ago:

It became kind-of playable but the forum got swamped with spam and general interest died down. I see you are trying again here. Sorry if creating an issue is the wrong approach - I'm new to Github!

Possibly a revival but my plan is to rip the DirectX calls out, and port it to OpenTK.

It's been a while so I forgot where we were up to. IRC discussion (not really documented unfortunately) had concluded that AgateLib might be better than OpenTK. I did get started but I'm not a C# dev so my attempts were a little meek.
