How to make validation work when integrating https://github.com/Hounddd/wn-blocks-theme

Hi Can someone help me with below problem.

I am using winter/wn-blocks-plugin and winter/wn-pages-plugin.
Now i have added meta mentioned in the wn-blocks-theme (whatever they have added same way in my project)

How do i make validation work for it ?
If in block.yaml i enter below snippet both the ways are not picking up the valdiation rules and it saves the page even if it is blank.

Can someone guide me what am i missing or what needs to be done? Do we need to add custom code ?
