It's very useful in debugging to see things on a graph and presuming we get to the point where we can drive the car (navigator or teleop) and see it move around on the rviz graph, it'll be really helpful to see indicators of things like when the sonar sensors see something, which way the steering is pointed etc.
A big part of the battle here is to not necessarily display it on rviz, but deciding how to display so that the visual is meaningful without being cluttered. Might be worth some investigation into existing patterns that we can use.
