Pop Up Problem in Styles Section

When you go into styles area in design there is a pop up and its in regard to accepting donations on your site but the problem is it won't go away when clicking got it or the X ... so not sure if its something to do with theme or wordpress.

Can you verify you're an admin, BlankSlate version, and WordPress version? If you've customized functions.php, it's possible the dismiss part got changed or removed. Or maybe you're just seeing a cached version.

Oh, I haven't changed any of the core files as of yet. Experienced this at the start and still haven't changed anything. It is still at right after activating the theme.

Ah, this isn't coming from BlankSlate. Looks like it's this WordPress.com block:

In this order, and at every step try closing by clicking the "X" and "Got it" again:

1. Refresh the page
2. Clear your WordPress and browser cache
3. Try a different browser
4. Try disabling all plugins
5. Try using the WordPress default theme

Verify you're using a vanilla copy from https://wordpress.com/theme/blankslate (not a fork).

BlankSlate does very little, but I suppose its own admin notice or the fact that it enqueues jQuery could somehow be causing a conflict. Technically, it's a classic theme, but this shouldn't interfere with you being able to use the block editor.

I can't see anything that needs to be fixed on BlankSlate's side, but if you narrow it down and does appear to be a conflict with BlankSlate, there are a couple options to "force" your way past this:

1. Manually hide the popup with your browser's inspect mode or a browser addon: https://ublocko.org/
2. Using the Classic Editor: https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-editor/
