Description
Currently the folder, namespace, and title of the extension representing IEEE 7012-2025 is "P7012" which is incorrect as this relates to the draft version of the standard. The published version is just 7012. Ideally, this should be changed.
However, the namespace p7012 and the IRI https://w3id.org/dpv/standards/p7012 are used in the standard, and changing these would mean that the links in the standard no longer work. Therefore we have two options:
- leave the current structure as it is, and change only the title (RDF, HTML) to reflect the correct name --> ensures nothing breaks but the "p7012" in url will not match the title "7012"
- change the folder structure and urls --> links already shared (like in 7012 standard) will break, future urls will match the name of the standard
If we go with option 2, we can also add additional w3id redirects from p7012 to 7012. This would be ideal, and something we should try to avoid in the future. Additionally, if we are already changing the namespace and structure, my proposal is to go for standards/ieee/7012 as the namespace and ieee-7012 prefix. This will allow us to model additional things in the future without clashing of numbers/namespaces (e.g. ieee/9999 and iso/9999)
