What’s the relationship between the new ActivityPub standard and ActivityPub Next?

Will the proposals that are part of this effort + the FEPs from https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fep be included in the new standard or are they going to be a separate thing?
I’m really interested in Nomadic Identity and Client side signing to become part of the ActivityPub standard in particular

Nomadic Identity FEPs are FEP-ef61: Portable Objects and FEP-ae97: Client-side activity signing.

The purpose of ActivityPub Next is explained in the project readme: it is about nomadic identity and related protocol improvements. There is no relationship between this project and W3C and I am not aware of any efforts to incorporate this work into the next version of the W3C ActivityPub specification.

@silverpill thanks for the answer. It would probably help a lot if you gave the project a name that didn't sound like "The Next Version of ActivityPub".

"SomethingElsePub", like "LitePub" did, maybe?
