github login not working

Describe the bug

os: Ubuntu 24
browser: firefox (142), chrome ( 139+ ), chrome incognito mode,

authentication through github doesnt work, i cannot submit packages.

Expected Behavior

EXPECTED:
vpn reads and displays the authenticated user

when accessing the + submit package page ( https://vpm.vlang.io/new ) i can upload packages.

Current Behavior

authentication through github doesnt work, i cannot submit packages.

Reproduction Steps

os: Ubuntu 24
browser: firefox (142), chrome ( 139+ ), chrome incognito mode,

i click the (github) login button.
i get redirected to the github auth page
i login succesfully
i allow medvednikov access

i get redirected to vpn.

vpn does not display the authenticated user.
when i click "+ submit package" the page requires me to authenticate ( even though i did on the previous phase )
when i retry to authenticate using the login button im not redirected to
the github login page ad i was the first time around.

the authorization expires after a certain time and i'm being asked to reauthorize medvednikov

but after accepting vpm still does not register my authorization.

i have a faint(or false) recollection that it isn't the first time i encountered this issue, i cannot find it anymore in the list of old issues and i dont quite remember what was done to fix it .....
