Hi @mathewrmac, thanks for sharing feedback with us about the live chat feature. I can forward your comments internally. Do you mind explaining why the moderation tools to delete a message and block a user from chat aren't sufficient for your use case? |

I use Vimeo extensively throughout my work including integrating it into our bespoke CMS/LMS to deliver events. Users are natually authenticated whilst viewing these live vimeo events but still have to enter an alias to engage in chat. Understandable. However why is the SDK unable to retireve this alias the user has entered from the iFrame?
Users are entering all kinds of obscenities into chat and so linking the authenticated user from the CMS/website to the user in chat would be really useful. If not provided in the SDK then why not give an option within the going live page to allow given origins to interact with the iFrame by returning the "Access-Control" header.
You can't even AFAIK moderate chat properly by approving messages/Q&A's because the features are just not there. Is this intentional on Vimeo's side?
Basically please add the ability to retrieve the viewers chat alias from the iFrake via the SDK or some other means.
I'm requesting here for three reasons. I can't find the correct support category of requesting features. Second, I don't want to answer 100 questions via a survey. Finally, you can resolve this frustration by simply adding it into the SDK.
